“I am operating an open door policy”-Asokwa MCE assures

The Municipal Chief Executive for Asokwa, Chief Akwannuasa Gyimah has reiterated his commitment to operating an open door policy as head of the Asokwa community.

This policy, the MCE believes gives opportunity for him to listen to all concerns of residents as well as stakeholders of the assembly.

Addressing executives of the Ghana National Association of Private Schools (GNAPS) who had paid a visit to him at his office in Asokwa, Chief Akwannuasa assured them of support from the assembly regarding anything they want to do for the development of the municipality.

The MCE urged the team to collaborate with the assembly to ensure pupils who attend private schools within Asokwa get the best of education so as to make them useful to the community in their future lives.

‘’It’s refreshing to see you visit us at the office and to show your commitment in ensuring that together we play our part in the development of children in the Asokwa community’’, Chief Akwannuasa stressed.

COLLABORATION:

The MCE extended an invitation to all heads of institutions to take advantage of the policy the municipality is operating and collaborate with the assembly to address any challenges they may be facing.

The assembly, he disclosed have by themselves scheduled meetings with all stakeholders, institutions and companies so as to formally introduce the assembly and its heads to them.

The Asokwa Assembly, he noted will also learn at first hand the peculiar challenges or issues the institutions may be facing.

Chief Akwannuasa also mentioned plans to regularly engage with all those who have their businesses in the Asokwa community so together they can discuss the development of the area.

GNAPS:

Speaking at the brief meeting, Joseph Donkor, Vice-Chairman for GNAPS commended the Asokwa MCE for committing to operate an open door policy.

This, he believed would give confidence to both residents and stakeholders to visit the assembly with issues that may be bothering them.

The Ghana National Association of Private Schools, the Vice-Chair is ready to collaborate with the Municipal Assembly to make teaching and learning effective in private schools in Asokwa.

Mr Ofori Odamptey and David Nyamekye, Secretary and Asokwa Municipal Chairman for GNAPS respectively assured the MCE of the association’s support to ensuring kids in private schools in Asokwa become the best in the Ashanti Region.
