GUTA to fight alongside Central market traders over kejetia tenancy agreement

Ghana Union of Traders’ Associations (GUTA) will join hands with traders at the Kumasi Central Market to ensure that concerns being raised are adequately addressed.

GUTA met the traders Wednesday afternoon just before the traders met the Ashanti regional minister; Simon Osei Mensah.

GUTA officials who were at the meeting assured the traders that they will henceforth join them to ensure that city authorities do what is right in order to safeguard their businesses from collapse.

Earlier Wednesday, a scheduled press conference by the traders was scuttled by a Police/military team.

The traders have received assurance from the Ashanti regional Minister the interruption of their Press conference and a live broadcast by Otec FM will be looked into.

The traders are excited after they received the assurances from GUTA and then the Ashanti regional Minister.

They expressed joy at the respect accorded them by the regional minister and promised to cooperate with him as he tried to bring sanity into the ongoing debacle between the traders and KMA.

The traders also told rawgist.com that they feel even stronger with the backing of GUTA.
