Gov’t invests $200m in mass cocoa spraying exercise

cocoa farmerMore than $200 million has through government’s intervention, been invested on the mass cocoa spraying exercise in order to increase the production of cocoa for export.

As part of the package, 1.6 million bags of inorganic fertilizers and 22,000 liters of organic ones will be distributed to farmers to help raise the yields of the crop.

The acting Executive Director of Cocoa Health and Extension Division of COCOBOD, Dr Francis Baah, gave the information at a forum with cocoa farmers dubbed, “Ghana Cocoa Platform,” in Koforidua.
