A tutor at the Asankrangwa senior high school Abdulai Sandowa is worried that the teaching profession is being underrated.
He says government has a role to play to protect the image of the teaching profession.
Speaking on Royal fm’s youngtalk, he noted that renowned personalities in the country were brought up by teachers.
He was worried why most teachers resort to borrowing for a living due to the inability of their salaries to cater for them during the month.
He laments that constant borrowing by teachers dents the integrity of the teaching profession which also reduces the level of respect they deserve in the society.
