Government to Recruit 50,000 Teachers This Year – Haruna Iddrisu
The Minister of Education, Haruna Iddrisu, has announced that the government plans to recruit 50,000
teachers this year. He made this disclosure while responding to an urgent question in Parliament.
According to the minister, the recruitment process will commence once the Finance Minister grants approval and the Auditor-General completes a validation exercise to eliminate ghost names from the teachers’ payroll.
The move aims to address staffing shortages and improve education delivery across the country.
