Pastor Josh Obeng, an Associate Pastor at Calvary Charismatic Center ( CCC) says God’s spirit comes to enable Christians live balanced lives.
The Holy Spirit, he noted comes to dwell in those who believe in Christ and confess him as Lord and Saviour.
Speaking last Sunday at church’s main auditorium on the topic ”the Spirit within and the Spirit upon”, PJ as the preacher is commonly known stated that the indwelling of God’s spirit enhances the ability of the believer to do right at all times.
He therefore urged believers to consciously pray to stir up God’s spirit within themselves so that they will explore all the potentials that come with the indwelling of same.
”Anyone who confesses Christ Jesus as Lord and Saviour gets the SPIRIT of God to live within himself or herself and this enables men and women to live godly lives”, PJ posited.
NEW DIMENSION:
Pastor Josh revealed that there was a new dimension to the outpour of the Holy Spirit.
According to him, this dimension allows the believer to do exploits like discerning of spirits, interpreting visions and living holy lives.
These potentials, he stated comes when the Holy Spirit is upon the believer at all times.
He recalled that the likes of Sampson, Moses and some of the patriarchs of faith in the Bible had the spirit settling on them momentarily to enable them accomplish specific tasks by God.
”The new spirit Christ Jesus promised believers which was poured out on the disciples as recorded in the Acts of Apostles was to settle upon them to do exploits including living holy and exemplary lives”, Pastor Josh divulged.
FULL POTENTIAL:
PJ urged believers to strive to be filled with the Holy Spirit every day of their lives.
He noted the only way one can live to his or her fullest potential is to crave for the infilling of God’s spirit.
The youthful preacher said there was no point settling for less when believers could go for the jugular which is available to those who ask for same.
”God’s Spirit does not only cause us to pray but helps us to discern, prophesy as well as enable us live holy lives because it is a complete Spirit”, Pastor Josh noted passionately.
