GNUPS calls on government to review entry requirement for HND holders into degree programmes

gnupsPolytechnic Students across the country have called on government to review entry requirement for HND holders into degree programmes.

The requirement stipulates that after the completion of an HND or diploma course, the graduate must work for a minimum of two years before becoming eligible to pursue a degree programme known as β€œtop – up.”

President of the Ghana National Union of Polytechnic Students, Sulemana Hakim however says the introduction of this policy is an attempt by government to circumvent the essence of polytechnic education in the country.

He is therefore calling on government to take a second look at their situation.
