Global Village Group buys 40% shares in Olympics

global villageGlobal Village Media Group has invested a whopping GHC 400,000.00 into the running of Accra Great Olympics acquiring a 40% stake of the club in the process.

The once fallen giant of Ghana Football finally made its way back onto the Premiership after several attempts.

Having won several accolades over the years with their brand of football, funding challenges practically made it impossible to compete with clubs even at the 2nd tier of Ghana Football.

Aside the financial considerations the Group would also provide a training grounds, camping grounds and administrative offices for the cub.

They are also to provide two brand new Hyundai buses and ten I10 cars for the administration of the club. The company would also act as the exclusive marketing agency of the club and would syndicate sponsorship packages for the club and fans.

The ceremony attracted all who matter in football administration in Ghana including the GFA President Kwesi Nyantekyi as well as the Minister of Youth and Sports Mahama Ayariga and one time chair of the club’s Board Amarkai Amarteifio who also once served as the Secretary of Youth and Sports under the PNDC administration and Ga Mantse Nii Adama Latse.

Various speakers including club stalwarts Fred Pappoe and Afotey Odai charged the supporters and the entire Olympics family to close their ranks and ensure that the club reached the heights it once attained in years past.

Oly Gbogbo, Oly mashie, Oly Rosalinda, Oly Tallal and the latest being Oly Commission has definitely come to stay, they shouted.
