Give priority to teachers of special schools- Kumasi Royal Lions Club to government

The need for teachers of special schools to be well motivated has been reemphasized.

President of the Kumasi Royal Lions Club Madam Efuah Hanson stressed the difficulty involved in dealing with kids with special needs and asked the government of Ghana to give priority to the motivation of teachers who teach in special schools.

She explained that the teachers do sacrifice a lot towards the wellbeing of the children, adding that even some parents of such kids shirk their responsibilities to the children due to the difficulty involved.

She made the appeal when the Kumasi Royal Lions Club visited and threw a party for the kids at the Edwenase Special School in the Ashanti region.

She explained that one of the main pillars of the Lions is giving and the month of December has been designated as “Relieving Hunger” month. They therefore decided to use that opportunity to spend time with and put smiles on the faces of the kids at the Edwenase Special School.

Madam Efuah Hanson called for all to extend love to the kids and encouraged the teachers to continue working selflessly towards the wellbeing of the kids.
