The Ashanti Regional Women’s Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has asked Ghanaians to grant another four year mandate to the President, Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo so as to enable him complete the programs and projects he has commenced in his first term of office.
According to the visible regional executive in Ashanti, many of the policies that had been put in place by the Akufo-Addo government would bear more fruit from 2021 onwards.
These initiatives, the women’s leader noted included the one district one factory as well as one million one constituency seed money, adding that the dividend from these would be known from 2021 and beyond.
Madam Ampomah made this appeal when she spoke to Omanhene Adu Boakye, morning show host of Kessben FM in Kumasi last Saturday.
“It is important that we as a people do well to grant another term of office to Nana Akufo-Addo to complete the programs and policies he has initiated so that we as a people can benefit from the fruits of same”, the women’s leader posited.
ADVICE:
The women’s leader said the country risked losing the benefits of such well thought out policies if it made a wrong choice who should lead it from 2020.
She recalled how many regretted in voting out the NPP in 2008 having benefited from the fantastic policies that the John Agyekum Kufuor presidency initiated from 2001 to 2008.
Madam Ampomah stressed that if Nana Addo, who was then the flag-bearer of the NPP had been allowed to take over from Mr Kufuor from 2009 the country would have become a paradise by now.
The NPP women’s leader cautioned against the constant churning out of complaints by some of the party’s members, adding that the attitude they display would reflect how the public will see the party.
“We should hold on to the gains we have had as a people since the Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo came into being and guard against complacency so that it gets a second term mandate to continue with the projects it has initiated”, Madam Ampomah intimated.
COMMITMENT OF NPP:
Madam Ampomah, popularly known as pretty giant intimated that both party executives as well as government appointees are committed to working to maintain the party in office.
This, she noted informs the work rate and dedication by appointees and party members.
The NPP, Madam Ampomah intimated believes in the deployment of its human resource potentials to developing the country.
She noted that the regional executives in Ashanti are committed to using their own resources as well as those to be given to them by the party to ensure the President as well as its parliamnetary candidates secure a landslide victory in the upcoming general election in December 2020.
“Some of us like the President, Chairman Wontumi and many others having been given grace by God to have some wealth before we entered politics are committed to using the very mandate given us to govern the nation as well as help the less privileged to have a decent life so that together we can build a better society”, Nana Ama Ampomah noted.
