Garden City special school gets computers from MTN

Telecommunications giant MTN, Tuesday donated five computers together with their accessories to the Garden City Special school at Asokore Mampong in the Ashanti region.

The computers, fully networked with internet connectivity is estimated at several thousands of cedis.

The donation forms part of MTN’s annual ritual referred to as Y’ello Care which happens in June. During the Y’ello Care month, the Company and its Staff undertake donations and volunteer work in carefully selected areas in tandem with the theme of the celebration.

Dr. Roselyn Frempomaa Adjepong, Head of the Garden City Special school expressed gratitude to MTN for the gesture and called on corporate Ghana to emulate the example of MTN.

She tells rawgist.com the school is bedeviled with a myriad of problems and hence needs all the help they can obtain.

For their part, MTN explained that they are determined to support education and make it accessible to all and promised more collaborations in future.

Madam Adwoa Baah Obeng, Branches Manager for MTN-Ghana in charge of the Northern Business District hoped the items provided will help the teachers with all the information they need to better impact the future of the students.
