Fidelity Bank Launches New branch on KNUST Campus

CIMG Bank of the year, Fidelity Bank Ghana has launched an ultramodern branch to offer its cherished customers in Kumasi a seamless banking experience.

The digital branch, located on the first floor of the Jubilee Mall on the campus of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, is the new addition to the over 70 branches of Fidelity Bank across the country.

The plush banking hall also comes with an e-lounge so customers can undertake self-service in real time.

Opening the branch to the public, a representative of the Managing Director of Fidelity Bank, Mr. Kwabena Boateng expressed delight to open the state of the art digital branch in KNUST that reflect the Bank’s drive towards embracing the benefit of modern technology with a unique banking experience that meets the needs of its special customers in the tertiary education.

“The campus branch is an integral part of our strategy to introduce the Fidelity Strength Account and relevant services. We’re placing our footprint here to serve the students, the wider community of lecturers and all those who facilitate campus business in various ways,” he stated.

Mr. Kwabena Boateng also underscored efforts put up by staff of Fidelity Bank which have resulted in the bank being recognized as one of the best in Ghana.

“Today, Fidelity Bank is recognized as one of the best and strongest banks in Ghana. Thanks to prudent management and dedication of our staff, we have demonstrated the power of team work and service delivery in the banking climate that faced serious challenges in recent past,” he stated.

Assuring customers of the stability and strength of the Bank, Mr. Kwabena Boateng announced that the Bank has met the minimum capital requirement of GHC 400 million and is steadfast in its resolve to consolidate and grow with its customers.

Fidelity Bank is giving its customers new reasons to experience better and easy banking through introduction of the Fidelity E-Lounge to provide customers with various products.

“At Fidelity Bank we believe in innovation, creativity, using technology to help in our modern lives. To that reason we are introducing an E-Lounge to facilitate a convenient and self service experience to the students and academic body,” he added

Highlighting some of their services, Mr. Kwabena Boateng indicated that student accounts orders have access to recently upgraded services including the Fidelity Mobile App where customers can perform payment such as account to wallet and vice-versa. Other product includes, airtime top-ups, utility and cashless payment using the fidelity QR code service, foreign currency sales, both international and local transfers and many more.

To enhance the customer experience for the wider community, a priority service for lecturers and student administration has been provided thus a salaried account package that allows lecturers and administrators to assess loans and salary advances.

Also speaking at the launch, Pro-Vice Chancellor of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Prof. Mrs. Rita Akosua Dickson congratulated staff and management of Fidelity Bank for their continuous support to the university in diverse means.

She therefore called on management of the bank to contribute to ensuring security on campus by assisting to provide bulbs to lighting the campus at night.

“You may have noticed that in a community with a staff strength of more than 4,000 and students numbers going over 55,000 and still counting, it means that you have a bigger market here and the way you take advantage of it will show how your progress and success story will be like, but we can only wish you all the best as university management and look forward to you giving us the best.”

Because of the huge numbers that we are managing, we have issues with security and on behalf of university management, we would like to appeal to Fidelity  to provide fifty street lights to support our project dubbed Let there be light on campus,” she expressed.
