Ensure Napo goes unopposed in 2020-NPP Vice Chair

Mr Kwabena Senkyire, First Vice Chairman of the Ashanti Regional New Patriotic Party (NPP) branch has assured delegates at the Manhyia South constituency that the party stands to endorse its current Member of Parliament when they decide to allow him to go to the NPP primaries in April unchallenged.

According to the regional executive, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh (NAPO) had both excelled as MP and Education Minister in government.

Addressing a delegates conference by the constituency in Manhyia, Mr Senkyire revealed that the NPP will contest the 2020 national polls on the exploits of Dr NAPO.

He noted that the MP and Minister has ensured the seamless roll out of the free Senior High School policy, a flagship project of the NPP.

“We as regional executives are ready to endorse Dr NAPO if you as delegates and as a constituency decides to present him as your sole candidate for the upcoming parliamentary primaries in April”, Mr Senkyire posited.

REGIONAL ORGANIZER:
Speaking to the media later, Mr Francis Adomako, the Ashanti regional organiser also indicated his support for the idea to allow Dr NAPO contest the 2020 parliamentary primaries unopposed.

The NPP and the constituency, MR Adomako posited stands to benefit when they are able to present credible personalities as its parliamentary hopefuls.

According to the regional organiser, not only has Dr NAPO delivered on his mandate as MP but has also excelled as Education Minister.

He noted that reforms both in universities and colleges have also come about because the Education minister and MP stayed committed to giving the best to Ghanaian students and stakeholders of education.

MEMBER OF PARLIAMENT:
Speaking later at the venue, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh said he was humbled by the show of appreciation to the modest contribution of his to the NPP party and government.

He noted that his desire is to see the President win another mandate to complete all the projects and programs he has for Ghanaians.

The NPP, he noted is carefully rolling out policies that would turn around the fortunes of the wobbling economy the NDC bequeathed to it.

Ghanaians, Dr NAPO stressed needed to support the NPP and the President to complete the task it has set to lead a transformational agenda where jobs and businesses could be created for the youth and the unemployed.
