Ejisu MP donates learning materials, PPE to Education Directorate

EJISU MP DONATES LEARNING MATERIALS, PPE TO EDUCATION DIRECTORATE. 

Dr John Ampontuah Kumah, MP for Ejisu addressing some school pupils when he presented education materials and PPE to the education directorate.

The Member of Parliament for Ejisu constituency, Dr John Ampontuah Kumah on Tuesday morning donated education materials including books, pencils as well as 1, 200 school uniforms to the Ejisu education directorate.

The MP also donated personal protective equipment (PPE) to the directorate to aid in the prevention and fight against COVID-19 viral disease.

Being the first day public and basic schools were reopening, Dr Kumah toured some of the schools in Besease, Donaso, Manhyia and Ejisu to assess the readiness of same for the academic year.

Speaking at the education directorate during a brief presentation of the items, the youthful legislator urged the directorate to continue with the monitoring of both academic work as well as the state of health of pupils since COVID-19 was still lurking.

COMMITMENT:
Dr Kumah expressed his commitment to the directorate to ensure that teachers and students in the constituency enjoy quality education.

He noted that the development of the municipality will be largely due to the kind of education the people in the area receive.

This, he stressed places a task on all stakeholders to ensure they do their best to give solid and wholesome education to the pupils in the communities of Ejisu.

Dr Kumah also pledged to assist anytime there is a need to be met so as to support the directorate to meet its obligations.

APPRECIATION:
Receiving the items on behalf of the directorate, Mrs Achiaa Asiedu Amoah, Ejisu Municipal Director of Education thanked the MP for the gesture.

She noted that the volume of items including PPE would enable the directorate deal with the threat COVID-19 as schools reopen.

Mrs Amoah urged other stakeholders to show similar commitment to enable the directorate tackle the challenges they face as schools reopen.

She also promised the commitment of the directorate to ensure they deliver quality supervision of schools including academic work in the municipality.
