Edward Oppong Marfo joins Citi FM as Bureau Chief for the Middle belt

Broadcast journalist, Edward Oppong Marfo has joined Citi FM and Citi TV. The Kumasi based journalist will serve as the Bureau Chief for the Middle belt- Ashanti, Bono, Bono East, and Ahafo region at Citi FM and Citi TV.

He begins work effective next week as he reports and coordinates all issues within the and from the Ashanti and Brong Ahafo region.

Edward Oppong Marfo started his media career in the latter part of 2010 when joined a campus-based radio, Focus FM while studying at the University at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Kumasi. 

Edward rose through the ranks from a reporter, News anchor, Morning show host (as well as hosted other shows) and eventually became the News editor of the station. 

He also made correspondence for several radio stations in Kumasi, Accra, Takoradi and other parts of the country. 

He worked at Focus FM for 8 years until he left for Ghana’s number English Radio Station, Citi FM and Ghana’s fastest growing Television Station, Citi TV in November 2018. 

He has a strong interest in development journalism and research.
