The First Vice Chairman of the Asokwa New Patriotic Party branch, Edmund Kyei says the free senior high school policy is a life changing one.
The policy, the Asokwa NPP executive said has the potential of turning persons who for funding reasons would have struggled to attain SHS into useful citizens in the near future.
Speaking to the Ghanaian Observer newspaper in Kumasi when he attended the one week rites of the mother of Madam Patricia Appiagyei, MP for Asokwa on Saturday, Mr Kyei said the criticisms of the free SHS by the NDC vice president hopeful is laughable.
The NPP first vice wondered how the NDC would have turned the fortunes of Ghanaian children who were dropping out of JHS.

Mr Kyei said the free SHS policy alone has allowed about 2million JHS pupils who had finished their BECE exams access to senior high school education free of charge.
He said unlike previously where only half of these numbers would have been admitted to access SHS the reverse is the case now.
This policy, Mr Kyei argued has a far reaching positive outlook than any other policy the NDC implemented during their 8 year rule from 2009 to 2016.
The NPP first vice said the free SHS policy vindicates President Akufo-Addo as visionary and caring leader.
OTHER POLICIES:
Mr Kyei said policies such as the one district one factory had also benefitted the populace immensely.
He noted that Asokwa alone has two of such factories, UNIJAY Fashion and Bolt and Nuts Limited.
These two companies, the NPP man noted was offering employment to people from Asokwa and other adjoining communities.
He called for four more years for the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo government to enable it do more for the populace.
