Musician Edem has released a new captivating video for the song ‘The One’, featuring Sway.
Edem and Sway tell the story of slavery in the Gold Coast and how the slaves ended up overpowering their captors and later reaching a consensus to abolish the practice.
Edem gives off a lot of energy, powerful punchlines and a display of his mastery of the Ewe language on a a powerful hip-hop beat creatively infused with African rhythms.
Sway, one of UK’s most respected rappers, also brings his unique style to bear and adds some much-needed speed and energy to complement Edem’s delivery.
The video was shot and directed by producer Gyo Gyimah.
