The flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party, NPP has stated that the Ghanaian economy is in reverse mode under President Mahama.
According to him, the country is in crisis; a situation which should be addressed immediately.
Addressing Ghanaians on what the NPP describes as” The true state of the nation’s address”, on Monday, Nana Addo indicated that is it obvious President Mahama didn’t want to tell Ghanaians the true state of the nation.
Nana Addo stated that the NDC government has borrowed more than what former presidents, Kwame Nkrumah and Kuffour borrowed but has not been able to make significant improvement.
He says the currency is a “joke” on the international market. He added that unemployment rate is going up, interest rate is going up putting private sector businesses at a disadvantage.
Speaking on energy, he said Ghana has spent 680 dollars; equivalent to 2% of GDP. Also, as a result, big companies were forced to lay out some of their workers leaving more Ghanaians unemployed.
The NPP Flagbearer says the president should not be credited for resolving dumsor, a problem the NDC government created.
