Dr. Bawumia to address 7th town hall meeting in Kumasi

The Vice President, Dr Alhaji Mahmoud Bawumia would on the 11th day of February address the 7th town hall and photo exhibition fair in the capital of the Ashanti Region, Kumasi.

The fair to be hosted by the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) is an initiative of the Ministry of Information and the Ministry of Monitoring and Evaluation.

Activities to be carried out on the day would be a photo exhibition of projects, programs and development initiatives by the 43 metropolitan, municipal and district assemblies (MMDAs) in the Ashanti Region.

Giving these details last Wednesday at a press conference at the Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council (ARCC), Pius Enam Hadzide, Deputy Minister for Information said each of the Assemblies would mount a stand to display the kind of projects it has been able to undertake these 3years.

Giving further details, Mr Hadzide said the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II will chair the event as the special guest of honor.

He noted that the VEEP, Dr Bawumia would deliver the keynote address as he makes a case for the government on promises it has delivered since assuming the reins as government.

The Deputy Minister revealed the Veep would provide evidence of the deliverables of the NPP government.

The public, Mr Hadzide indicated would also have the opportunity to ask questions on what they think about the policies implemented by government as well as seek clarification on issues they find difficult to understand.

POLICY ADVISOR:

Speaking to the Ghanaian Observer Newspaper, Dr Gideon Boako, Policy advisor to the Veep indicated the readiness of the second gentleman of the land to prove NPP’s good governance track record.

The government, the advisor intimated had delivered on each of the promises it made to the people of Ghana.

He rallied the people of the region to take advantage of the fair to check for themselves some of the projects embarked upon by the NPP government.

‘’We would at the end of proceedings at the KNUST prove to Ghanaians that we as a political party and government has fulfilled all promises we made to the people of Ghana which Ashanti Region is an integral part of’’, Dr Boako opined.
