Ghana News–Rev. Fr. Richard Opoku Acheampong, Parish Priest of Corpus Christi Catholic Church at New-Tafo, a suburb of Kumasi, has entreated Ghanaians to renew their commitment to the prosperity of the country, but should not allow themselves to be deceived by politicians, especially NPP and NDC who are the major political parties in the country.
According to him, the followers of these two political parties would always support and stand by their members whether or not they do the right things. He says these parties do not see any wrong with themselves but always see everything wrong with their political opponents. He says such attitude will not augur well for Ghana’s development.
The Reverend Father who was delivering a sermon called on Ghanaians to re-commit themselves to the cause of the country.
He says until the parties and their followers change, Ghanaians would continue to suffer.
He reminded Ghana that the country does not belong to politicians and called for vigilance by ensuring that politicians and people placed in positions of responsibility account for their stewardship.
