Distressed mother demands answers from Korle Bu Teaching Hospital officials on death of her baby

babyWhiles Ghanaians wait for the dust to settle on Suwaiba’s missing baby saga at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, another woman who went through similar situation at the Korle Bu teaching hospital some three years ago is demanding answers from the facility on how her daughter was buried.

According to the mother, Abena Hayford, the baby was born premature at a private health facility but was transferred to the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital to be kept in an incubator.

However the baby was nowhere to be found on the second day of admission, only to be told by Korle Bu health officials that the baby got sick overnight, died and was buried.

Abena told Accra based Live FM neither she nor any of her relatives was contacted or informed about the death and subsequent burial.

She is therefore demanding that authorities at the hospital tell her what led to the death of her baby and where she was buried.
