COVID-19: Ejisu MP spends more on constituents

MP for Ejisu; Kwabena Owusu Aduomi donoating 1,400 bags of rice to his constituents

The Member of Parliament for Ejisu constituency has presented 1,400 bags of rice to support the needy in his constituency.

Mr. Kwabena Owusu Aduomi acknowledged that the lock down imposed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, despite its good intention is causing financial stress among many especially those in the informal sector.

“Food is a fundamental human right, therefore we need not leave anyone behind at a time we are experiencing partial lockdown in some parts of the country” he explained.

The MP, who is also Deputy Minister for Roads and Highways in an interview with Oyerepa News disclosed that he is spending an amount of three hundred thousand Ghana Cedis on his constituents during this lock down period.

Already, he has made donations to the Ejisu Municipal Health Directorate as well as taxi parks within his constituency. Some of his earlier donations included veronica buckets, tissues, sanitizers, mob, mob buckets, detergents and antiseptics.

He explained that the distribution of the food items which he procured from his personal resources will be done by assembly members and unit committee members within the 28 electoral areas of his constituency.

He stressed all well-meaning residents of the constituency to contribute their widows might in order to help alleviate the suffering of the poor and vulnerable during the lock down. He believes if everyone is taken care of, the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic will be a resounding success.

He advised all and sundry to adhere strictly to the protocols set out by health authorities including social distancing and hygiene.
