Court remands two for stealing sandals

jail-prisonA Circuit Court over the weekend remanded two female Juveniles into police custody for allegedly stealing Ghana made sandals.

The girls aged 14 and 16, are likely to answer charges of conspiracy to commit crime, causing damage to property, unlawful entry and stealing.

The Abuakwa Divisional Police Command pleaded with the Nkawie Circuit Court presided by His Honour William Abbey for time to gather enough evidence.

The complaint, on Octocber 9 this year reported her stolen sandals, leather as well as contact adhevisive (glue) worth Ghc1800.00 to police for investigation.

The suspects were arrested for interrogation and they admitted to conniving to commit the crime and were subsequently brought before court.

Assist. Supt/Crime, Jeremial Alale tells rawgist.com “investigations are still underway”. He also urged the public to report cases to the police for the safety of society.

They will re-appear before the Ashtown Juvenile Court in Kumasi on October 16 for the full trial.
