Managing Director of JABFRAN Construction Company Limited; David Jabez Cobbina has appealed to the people of Juaso to ensure regular maintenance of an ultra-modern palm oil processing factory built for them by the MTN Ghana Foundation.
He asserts that with the right maintenance schedules, the facility will last for a very long time and give great value to the people of Juaso and surrounding communities.
He was full of praise for MTN’s commitment to empowering people within their catchment zones.
MTN has put up hundreds of projects as part of her commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility. These projects include construction of classroom blocks, construction of ward buildings for hospitals, donation of incubators, provision of training for youth groups amongst several others.
The Juaso Palm Oil processing facility was constructed to sustain the health of the women who processed the oil and also prevent harm to school children who played close to the open fires which the women used for their activities.
The facility which was constructed by JABFRAN Construction Company Limited cost MTN 740,000 Cedis.
Mr. Cobbina said he was excited to know that a project his company was involved in has contributed such an edifice that will be a game changer as far as the economic empowerment of the people of Juaso is concerned.
He explained to Bernard Buachi of rawgist.com that a lot of pains have been taken to ensure that the facility is well constructed and meets all required standards.
He recounted how his company, which has existed for the past ten years, has worked closely with MTN and other entities to produce value to Ghanaians and expressed gratitude to MTN for the opportunity to be a part of the transformation they are championing across Ghana.
