The Christian Council of Ghana has announced the annual national week of prayer and thanksgiving service for this year which is scheduled to take place from June 30th to July 6th.
According to the General Secretary of the Christian Council of Ghana who is also the national coordinator for the national week of prayer and thanksgiving, Rev. Dr. Opuni Frimpong, this year’s event would be celebrated on the theme, “bind us together oh lord.”
He explained that, the event would be characterized by activities such as fasting, unity walk, prayer meetings for children, political parties, judiciary and the economy.
Rev. Opuni Frimpong encouraged leaders of the various churches to organize the event in all communities, districts and regional capitals, adding however that, the climax of the event which is the thanksgiving service would be held at the Holy Spirit Cathedral in Accra.
He entreated all Christians and the general public to participate effectively to pray for the good of the country.
