President of Ghana; Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo

Residents of the Bono East region are excited and hopeful after the President; Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo visited the region on a two-day working tour.

The President yesterday departed the Bono East region to the Bono region to continue his working tour.

Many residents of the region had lost their deposits to DKM and other microfinance companies that are now defunct.

The president promised in an interview on Techiman-based classic FM to repay these customers by the end of the month of September.

The residents say the promise by the President to pay them their monies back has given them great joy and hope.

Some of the victims of the Ponzi schemes operated by these microfinance institutions who spoke to rawgist.com even went on to suggest the President would win the 2020 general elections hands down if he fulfilled that promise.
