Blind Union receives food items from CCC

Calvary Charismatic Center (CCC), a Kumasi based Charismatic Church on Wednesday morning presented food items to the Ghana Blind Union.

The donation by the Church to the Union is the second this year, with the first being a presentation of 100 white canes to the sight challenged Association.

The food items consisted of 10 bags of rice, 2 boxes of spaghetti, 2 boxes of tomato paste, 2 boxes of cooking oil and two boxes of mackerel sardines.

Presenting the items on behalf of the Church,  Reverend Ransford Obeng, General Overseer of CCC said,  ‘CCC believes in sharing with vulnerable groups at Christmas’.

DESIRE:

Reverend Obeng said the desire of the church is to be able to fully minister to both the spiritual and physical needs of the people of Kumasi and Ghana as a whole.

The Blind Union, he noted, was a vulnerable group which came to mind easily and hence the donation to same.

CCC, Reverend Obeng stressed was committed to giving to help the needy to make their lives less burdensome.

” Just as Christ was given as a gift to mankind during the Christmas period so is CCC committed to becoming a symbol of kindness”, Reverend Obeng stated.

APPRECIATION:

George Kyerematen, President of the Blind Union said his outfit and members were deeply moved by the kind gestures by CCC.

He mentioned that the Church donated white canes to the group recently and to see it extend another helping hand within the same year was very encouraging.

Mr Kyerematen said the Church by their kind gesture has caused three of its members in Obuasi to give their lives to Christ Jesus.

Every act of kindness, the Blind Union leader said would be rewarded by God.

He therefore prayed prosperity and good health for the CCC General Overseer and the church’s congregation.

“May God look to your kindness and bless you with good health and prosperity as you continue to support the needy”, Mr Kyerematen prayed.
