Founder and leader of the Calvary Charismatic Center (CCC); Pastor Ransford Obeng has advised church leaders to desist from publicly declaring support for political parties.
In a meet-up with journalists in Kumasi on New Year’s Eve, Pastor Ransford explained that it is not wise for clergy to dabble publicly in partisanship.
He advised Ghanaians to be grateful for the peace the nation enjoyed in 2019 and pray that the peace of God continues in 2020 especially as the nation goes into an election.
Pastor Ransford Obeng, for his New Year message advised Ghanaians not to give up on any venture they are undertaking. “Persist until you succeed. The ladder to success is never easy, but it is for those who never give up”, he said.
Pastor Ransford moved straight to lead the 31st watch night service after speaking to the media. Citing passages from the bible, he asked the congregation to always remember that God is their maker and involve him in everything they do. He explained that man needs God in everything he does and until that realization sinks in, the blessings of God will continue to elude many.
He prayed for various segments of the church and declared that “we are going all out for God in 2020”, adding that the time of being lackadaisical as far as the work of God is concerned is over. He encouraged the church to love God enough to give selflessly for his work.
Hundreds of people responded to the alter call and gave their lives to Christ. Many also rededicated their lives to Christ and were baptized on New Year Day.
