Asokwa Municipal Assembly, MP give to Muslims

Ghana News-The Asokwa Municipal Assembly represented by the Presiding Member and three other officials including the coordinating director as well as the MP for the Area, Madam Patricia Appiagyei has presented food and beverage items to Muslims within the constituency.

The gesture, according to the Presiding Member, Elliot Fosu Barnor is to aid the Imams and Clerics in their 30 days sacred fast, which is popularly called Ramadan.

At separate ceremonies at the Kaase and Atonsu S-Line mosques, the youthful PM commended the leaders of the Muslim community for continually praying for the peace of the constituency.

He urged them to support the newly created Municipality to ensure it carries out the mandate the government and people of Asokwa have given them.

MP:

In her succinct remarks at both mosques, Madam Patricia Appiagyei reiterated her commitment to seek the welfare of her constituents.

According to the MP, it is the collective responsibility of all residents to ensure the Assembly as well as her outfit does all in its power to bring peace and development to Asokwa.

She asked members of the Muslim community to offer their support to the Assembly as it strategizes and implements programs aimed at facilitating the total development of the constituency.

She noted her resolve to push for more development projects for Asokwa, adding the community deserves to be given the needed support from central government.

‘’I am resolved to lobby for more projects for Asokwa and I urge you my Muslim brothers and sisters to support me as well as the new Municipal Assembly so that we can collectively build a prosperous constituency’’, Madam Appiagyei reiterated.

MUSLIM HEAD:

Taking delivery of the items at the Kaase mosque, Alhaji Baaba Gambo, Deputy Head of the Fulani group in Ashanti thanked the Asokwa Assembly and MP for the gesture.

The items, he noted will serve them well and aid them to pray fervently for the development of the Asokwa community.

Alhaji Gambo asked that residents in the community offer their collective support to the newly created assembly as well as the MP to ensure more development comes to Asokwa.

He commended Mama Pat for her timely and constant support to the Muslim community and promised her their support for a third term bid.

‘’I, on behalf of my brothers and sisters want to assure you of our prayers and our wish is that our Assembly as well as constituency becomes highly prosperous’’, Alhaji Gambo prayed.
