Asokwa is giving 85% or more to Nana Addo and Mama Pat-Edmund Kyei

The first vice chairman for the Asokwa New Patriotic Party(NPP), Mr Edmund Kyei says both the party’s flag-bearer and Parliamentary aspirant would secure 85% or more of the total votes that would be cast on December 7.

According to him, both the President and the MP have done enough to get such endorsement on election day.

He also noted that the social intervention programs by the government of Nana Addo was visible in Asokwa for all to see.

Being an elite constituency, the First Vice said residents would recollect the improvements in their lives and vote for the President and the incumbent Member of Parliament for Asokwa, Madam Patricia Appiagyei.

EDUCATION:
The Vice-Chair noted that every human development thrives on knowledge acquisition.

This, he noted was the first thing the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo government decided to do in its first term with the roll out of the free SHS program.

The program, he noted has tripled the number of students who gained admission to senior high schools to pursue secondary education.

Mama Pat, on the hand has also provided incentives to almost all basic schools to ensure pupils pass their BECE exams to access the free SHS program, Mr Kyei posited.

ECONOMIC GROWTH:
Mr Kyei said he was hopeful that all programs and initiatives such as the one district one factory as well as other interventions including the planting for food and jobs would help put the Ghanaian economy on a sound footing from 2021 and beyond.

He noted that much progress would be seen in the lives of citizens who are on the modules of NABCO and the youth employment agencies since it would now become full time jobs.

Mr Kyei said with Asokwa attaining municipal status the assembly would help to generate enough revenue to cater for the pressing challenges including unemployment in the communities.

So far, the first vice said he was happy with the enthusiasm shown by residents and party sympathisers in the door to door campaign which the party has adopted, adding he was hopeful the target of 85% or more would be achieved by the party.
