The Ashanti NDC media monitors have asked the party’s communication team not to sit aloof until the President comes out to explain things himself to Ghanaians.
Chairman of the group; Abdul Latif Abdullahi (Julius Aghahowa) says though the President did a great job of answering every question posed to him and helping Ghanaians make sense of current happenings in the various sectors, party communicators need to be up and doing.
” Again we want to appeal to the good people of this country to always remember the peace of this country and continue to have trust in the president”, Abdul Latif added.
The media monitors say they are particularly impressed with the way the President explained things in a manner that allays fears and engenders hope for the country, and called on the NPP’s flagbearer to also initiate a forum and address Ghanaians himself on issues such as the Guantanamo detainees issue. “He should not let Bawumia speak nor Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu but he should speak himself and give alternatives if he has any”, he said.
