The campaign is expected to go into full swing as many people have expressed keen interest in who becomes the next chairman of the NDC in the Ashanti region.

Many in the NDC believe the position is key towards election 2020.

Joseph Yammin tells Bernard Buachi of rawgist.com that he will file his nomination at 1pm today at the regional office of the party .

He explains that this is not the time to try people since the disappointing performance of the NPP government dictates that the NDC picks up pace and wins election 2020 to deliver Ghanaians from the hopelessness of Nana Addo and his government.

“The party needs dedicated, committed, tried and tested people to lead the region towards 2020”, he explained and says he has all these qualities and is therefore availing himself for the challenge.

He assures that with him as chairman, victory 2020 is assured for the NDC.

“I will look at where the NDC fell short in the last election and clean the mess. I understand the problems and can hence solve it”, Yammin said.

Already, he has held several positions within the party including that of Ashanti regional Secretary and is touted to have played a very powerful role in the NDC’s recapture of power from the erstwhile Kufour administration.
