Ashanti MTTD indicates preparedness to maintain order during Ramadan celebration

GHANA POLICEThe Motor Traffic and Transport Unit (MTTU) of the Ghana Police Service is urging all motorists to be extra vigilant on our roads as Muslims in the country join their counterparts across the globe to celebrate the Ramadan.

Wishing them “Happy Ramadan” and a fruitful celebration in advance, Ashanti Regional MTTU Commander, C/Supt. Peter Gyimah warned the general public to desist from all road related offenses since a significant number of plain and uniformed officers will be deployed to beef up the already strengthened security on our roads.

Residents of the Ashanti region are also entreated to report illegal blockages on roads to police for necessary action .

The thirty-days fasting and prayer by Muslims across the globe is expected to end in Ghana  this weekend with the national Chief Imam leading prayers to thank the Almighty Allah for his blessings and seek his protection and guidance.
