Asawase not a village, must be developed-Manaf

Manaf Ibrahim, aspiring NPP parlimentary hopeful for Asawase presenting a cheque to Abdul Nasr Nasri Kato, Asawase research officer and constituency election officer.

Manaf Ibrahim, an aspiring parliamentary candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Asawase constituency says his election as the party’s representative in Parliament will present the best of hopes for the youth in the community.

Speaking to the Ghanaian Observer Newspaper moments after filing his nomination forms at the party’s office in Asawase in a bid to contest in the upcoming internal primaries of the party, Mr Ibrahim said he is in the race to lead the development efforts of the community.

Manaf Ibrahim, a former deputy secretary of the Ashanti NPP noted that his desire is to present hope for the community by deploring his talent and skill in getting solutions to the myriad of challenges they face in Asawase.

Asawase, the calm-mannered aspirant stated is not a village to still be in an under-developed state as it finds itself currently.

‘’The time has come for  NPP delegates in Asawase to choose a person who has the energy, skill, education and capacity to wrestle the MP seat from the NDC and also lead the constituency in Parliament so as to provide the needed leadership in solving the problems they face as a people’’, Manaf Ibrahim posited.

RESPECT FOR DELEGATES:

Mr Ibrahim in an address to the teeming delegates that had thronged the constituency office to observe proceedings mentioned his respect for NPP delegates and the people of Asawase.

He noted that it is an insult for anyone to seek to arrogate to him or herself powers that he or she initially got from the people.

He promised to serve with diligence and selflessness so that the utmost development of the constituency and its people are achieved.

Manaf Ibrahim reminded the party that they stand to battle the NDC for the Asawase parliamentary seat, adding that he is ready to lead the onslaught when he is elected as the parliamentary candidate of the NPP.

‘’I urge you especially delegates of the great NPP in this constituency to vote for the future of the party of which I best represent its people and their aspirations’’, the brilliant aspirant noted.

ELECTION PROCESS:

Mr Ibrahim stressed his commitment to the party in its quest to use all democratic means to elect its parliamentary candidates.

This, he noted has been loudly and adequately demonstrated by him and his supporters by going through all the processes required of him to become an aspirant in the upcoming polls.

Handing over his forms earlier on to the constituency election committee officer, Abdul Nasr Nasri Kato, who is also the research officer for the Asawase NPP, Mr Ibrahim noted his desire to conduct his campaign in a civil manner.

He noted that those who do not have proper campaign message to tell their constituents are the ones who hide behind insults to do so.
