Armed men in the early hours of today attacked a couple their children in their home along the Nungua,Coco Beach Road ,near the Old Kasapreko company subjecting them to severe beating.
Mr.Jeoffrey Atem, his wife and two children were fast asleep when two of the robbers broke into the house around 1 am.
The other robber stood watch on the compound.
Brandishing locally manufactured pistols the robbers demanded from their victims all money in their possession.
Claiming to be operating upon a tip off, the criminals said they had been informed that the man is a retiree and had recently withdrawn his lump sum pension money from a bank.
They also demanded jewelries from Mrs Atem.
However when the man told his attackers that he had not been to any bank to withdraw money they became violent ,ransacking the house .They then beat up the husband and wife to pulp and threatening to kill them. The children were not spared either.
The Nungua Police are investigating the incident.
