Amenfi Central Set for Major Roads as MP Pushes Training Initiative
The Member of Parliament for Amenfi Central, Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe, has urged her constituents to take part in a skills training program organized by contractors ahead of major road construction projects in the area.
The initiative follows the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government’s approval to construct key roads in the constituency. The training will focus on practical skills such as block moulding and other construction-related activities to prepare residents for active participation in the projects.
Speaking in an interview with Newsmen, Hon. Gyan Cudjoe stressed the importance of community involvement in local development. She noted that the program will not only support the success of the upcoming road works but also provide long-term economic benefits for participants.
“This is an opportunity for residents to acquire valuable skills that will enhance their livelihoods while contributing to the successful execution of these road projects,” she said.
Since her historic victory in the 2024 elections, where she polled 26,345 votes (68.53%), Hon. Gyan Cudjoe has championed several development initiatives in Amenfi Central. These include the reconstruction of the Anomatewa-Beposo bridge, the establishment of a block factory, educational support programs, and women’s empowerment projects.
She reaffirmed her commitment to ensuring that the constituency benefits directly from government-backed infrastructure development, adding that the training program reflects her vision of inclusive growth and community empowerment.
