Founder and leader of the Ghana Freedom party(GFP), Madam Akua Donkor has accused NPP’s Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo, Ashanit NPP Chairman; Wontumi and the founder and leader of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP);Dr. Paa Kwasi Nduom of being behind the just ended doctors’ strike.
She says the doctors declared that their needs were not immediate but geared towards the 2016 budget .
Speaking in an interview with royal news she expressed worry over what motive these politicians had for pushing the doctors to go on strike in the name of their conditions of service.
Meanwhile former health minister in the erstwhile Kufuor’s administration,Dr Kwaku Afriyie has noted that the doctors are right in their decision to strike.
He noted that doctors over the years have had no documents attached to their appointment letters defining their conditions of service.
On his part the Executive Director for Health and Safety Bureau Ghana ,Mr Anthony Kofituo Morrison says the doctors are taking Ghanaians for a ride since they are trained with tax payers’ money for years and they have turned around to blackmail the tax payers.
