The Amankyem Akrofuom District Chief Executive in the Ashanti Region, Hon. Maurice Jonas Woode on Tuesday handed over a 3-unit classroom block to Avornyo D/A Primary school.
Mr. Woode in his speech noted that the teachers of the school had been complaining that their classrooms had become death traps.
He therefore provided them a new facility to alleviate their plight and enhance effective teaching and learning.
He further presented 50 desks for the pupils and 4 chairs and tables to be used. by the teachers.
New classroom block
Hon. Maurice Woode charged the school to handle the facilities with care and also urged the pupils to study hard to achieve their goals and aspirations and become useful to their communities.
