Over 3000 Pharmacists converge at KNUST for 2017 AGM

Pharmacists across Ghana have converged at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology to deliberate on issues affecting their practice.

In all over 3000 pharmacists from various branches of pharmacy practice are at the event.

At the Opening ceremony Wednesday, President of the Pharmaceutical Society of Ghana; Thomas Boateng Appiagyei expressed gratitude to members especially those who worked actively to make the meeting a success.

He advised the membership to help elect capable members to steer the affairs of the society for the next couple of years.

He reiterated that the meeting is to help “take stock of the past year and jointly agree on steps for the next year”.

Present at the opening ceremony were the Asantehene Otumfour Osei Tutu II, Senior Minister Osafo Maafo, Minister of Health Kwaku Agyeman Manu and Ashanti regional Minister Simon Osei-Mensah among several other dignitaries.

This year’s PSGH Conference is on the theme “Harnessing opportunities in Pharmacy for national Economic Development”.

The programe stretches from 1st August, 2017 to 6th August, 2017.
